e-Textile weaving projects

I have a couple of ideas for some electronics-enabled spinning and weaving projects!

1. A wall hanging that tells me what the temperature is outside, and the weather forecast for the day. It would be woven with 4 lines of warp being core-spun wire with LEDs hooked up to show temperature (mix of white/blue/yellow/red) and weather (yellow - sun, blue - rain, white - snow), gained from the internet (via Nanode (ethernet) or a bluetooth sensor? N. is getting a bunch of bt sensors so this could work). Need to think up a pretty design to integrate this into (thinking some woven triangles for temp levels, possibly a pictorial design for the weather?).

2. A tea brewing sensor - a small coaster-sized mat with a temperature sensor in it and some LEDs that count down the time til the tea's been brewed. It's quite a simple little one so maybe I can do that first.

Anyone else got any cool ideas I could make into an e-Textile project?
